Joe Dudley Kirby, a loving father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather at the age of 79 passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 31st, 2019 at Boswell Hospital in Sun City, Arizona surrounded by his family. Joe was born on December 16th, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan. Joe D. Kirby served his country in the United States Army from 1960 to 1964 in Germany. He was an electrician while he served in the military. After being honorably discharged, Joe wore many different hats, a forklift operator, driver and a security guard. He also worked for his son in law’s company where he was a jack of all trades.
Joe enjoyed watching old westerns, NASCAR, war movies, cooking and spending time with his family. He made a lasting impression to people he interacted with, he had a unique sense of humor and will be missed by so many friends and his family.
Joe is survived by his three children, Joe S. Kirby Jr., Tammy Volk and Leslie Palombo as well as his 3 grandchildren, Breanna Anderson, Tanya Hagerman, Bryan Volk and his 6 great grandchildren. He was proceeded in death with his wife Donna Kirby and his sister Barbara Price.
A celebration of his life will be held on January 9th at 1:30 p.m. at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary located at 200 W Beardsley Road Phoenix, AZ 85027.
