Jo Ann Carter, age 77, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. She was born on December 27, 1946 in Texas to Lindsey and Callie Dorothy Davis. She was an only child. She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Willie Maxwell and her second husband, Bobby Ray Carter.
She is survived by her sons Johnny J. Maxwell, Vernon Maxwell, Lindsey Maxwell, David L. Carter and
Thaddeus Carter, her daughters Beverly M. Carter, Bobbie J. Carter and Melinda Carter, grandchildren Relynn M. Maxwell, Rianna M. Maxwell, Johnny Maxwell, Jr. and half-sister Dorothy Garcia.
A visitation will be held on Monday, November 4, 2024 at 11:30 A.M. at Greenwood Memory Lawn Serenity Chapel, 719 N. 27th Avenue, Phoenix, with her funeral at 12:30 P.M. Interment will follow at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery, 2300 W. Van Buren, Phoenix.
