

Jill Klefstad, 71, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away peacefully in her home on December 22, 2014. She was born to Hugo (“Cal”) and Margaret Callaghan in Melbourne, Australia on September 17, 1943. Married to Ron Caraway, she moved to the US and had two children, Scott and Staci. Jill graduated from Glendale Community College with an Associates Degree in Nursing and had a long career as an RN working at Maryvale Samaritan Hospital. She married Kent Klefstad on July 11, 1987 and enjoyed 27 years of love, travel, and good times until her passing. Through her son, she was blessed with her granddaughter, Salina in 1991. An animal lover, she volunteered her time at the Arizona Humane Society upon retiring from nursing. She had a passion for fostering kittens until healthy and strong for adoption. She is survived by her husband Kent, daughter Staci, brother Peter, cousins (sisters at heart) Pat and Anne, doggies Daisy and Tinkerbell, and all of her wonderful friends who enriched her life and whose hearts she touched. Jill wished to be cremated and her ashes returned to Waroona in Australia, the ranch she grew up on with Pat and Anne. Her memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 3rd, 2015 at 3pm at A.L. Moore-Grimshaw Mortuary, 710 W. Bethany Home Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85013.
