Jean Ellen Herndon of Phoenix passed away peacefully on March 20, 2018 at the age of 79. Jean was born to Ray and Glencora (Rabe) Henning and raised in Woodstock, Illinois. Jean married Lloyd Herndon in 1956 and they were happily married for 61 years. Jean is survived by her three children; Tom Herndon, Karen Herndon-Jenkins, and Jack Herndon; ten grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Jean is also survived by her sister Bonnie, brother Gerry, and sister Loralee. Jean was preceded in death by her parents and husband Lloyd. Memorial services will be held at Advantage Funeral, 6901 W. Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85033 on March 26, 2018 from 10-12am with a one hour visitation prior to the service. Graveside service and reception will be held at Greenwood Memory Lawn, 2300 W. Van Buren, Phoenix AZ 85009 immediately following the memorial service. Jean was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker who made many friends during her long life and enjoyed meeting with people who were never strangers to her. Jean will be missed by her family and friends, who will cherish their memories of her forever.
