71, of Phoenix, AZ, with her family at her side, passed on into eternal life on November 7, 2011. She was a pillar of love and kindness for her family. She had an adventurous soul and loved to travel. She was a great cook who enjoyed gardening and loved music. Sonya was recently preceded in death by her loving husband of 50plus years, Epifanio Vasquez, Sr. on October 17, 2011. Sonya is survived by her daughter Adelina (Frank) Blanco; sons Epifanio (Nellie) Vasquez, Jr. and Frank (Belinda) Vasquez; her grandchildren and great grandchildren who loved her dearly and will truly miss her; five sisters, two brothers, nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held 9:00am - 11:00am, Thursday, November 10, 2011 in the Chapel at East Resthaven Park Mortuary, 4310 E. Southern Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85042 with Funeral Services starting at 11:00am. Interment will then follow at East Resthaven Park Cemetery.
