God saw her getting weaker and He whispered “come and rest” His garden must be beautiful, for He only picks the best. It breaks our hearts to lose you, but you do not go alone, for part of us went with you, the day God called you home.

Obituary
Irene Ferebee was born October 5 1942 in Suffolk, Virginia to her late parents Effie and Isaac Jones. She departed this earth on September 26 2022. She was the first to be born and grew up with her siblings in a household full of love, hard work and togetherness. She was the oldest of nine children and made sure her siblings remembered it. She loved to read novels, but when she began to read the Bible, she found that the one who truly loved her God, through his son Jesus Christ. She wondered how those who said they loved God could leave their first love who first loved them. When she came to age, she moved to New York City and worked to help provide for her younger siblings, in which she loved sharing what she earned for the love of family. She loved baking cakes to raise funds for the church. She also volunteered her service to the salvation army.
Surviving to cherish her loving memories are three sons she so loved; Freddie Ferebee, Darell and Christopher Wiggins. Thirteen grandchildren. Eight siblings: Effie Olive, Roberta Padmore, Betty Wirts, Frances Neumeyer, Linda Jones, Joyce Ann Sharret, Audrey Lewis, and Charles Jones. Four surviving brother in-laws; Ernest, David, John and Richard. One sister-in-law Brenda. One Aunt; Lewiska Reed and One Uncle; Willis McDonald. A host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Irene is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Isaac Jones Jr.
Irene was truly loved and will be truly missed by her family.
