Howard Yee passed peacefully on October 16th at the age of eighty-nine. Howard was a selfless husband and a devoted father who valued integrity, honesty, and education. He was a man of few words, but to those who knew him, his words, actions, and passions came shining through - a proud University of Arizona alumni and devoted Wildcats fan, horse racing enthusiast, and epicure.
Howard spent most of his career working as a pharmacist and in retirement, involved himself in Blue Fin Restaurant, which he and his wife owned. He was a member of North Phoenix Baptist Church for 35 years, past commander of the Thomas Tang American Legion Post, and past president of the Chow Chow Club of Phoenix.
Howard, the oldest of nine children, was born to Betty and Harry Yee on February 11, 1933. He is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Betsy; his children Lisa, LeAnn, Daryl, Lyn, and Lyris and her husband, Vaughn; his grandchildren Mark, Liam, Isabella, Lauren, Olivia, Lane, and Tripp; and his siblings Lily Wong, Larry Yee, Debby and her husband, Paul Chan.
A Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 23 at 12:00pm, with the Service starting at 1:00pm at Greenwood Memory Lawn Serenity Chapel followed by burial service at Greenwood Cemetery, 2300 West Van Buren Street.
