Hiram Richard Sellars

Hiram Richard Sellars went to be his Lord on August 17, 2023 at age 98 after a short illness. He joined his wife Marilyn Jean Sellars and his four sons Kevin Sellars, Steven Sellars, Michael Sellars, Richard Spaulding and his grandson Steven Sellars Jr. whose deaths all preceded his own.

Hiram was born January 14, 1925 in Animas, New Mexico. Hiram was raised in Arizona his entire life. He served in the Navy as a medic in World War II from 1943 to 1945. He received medals and high honors during his service. He married Marilyn Eastman in 1953 and had 5 children. He worked for the Maricopa Highway Department for 26 years. He retired in 1989. He became a widower in 1998 after the death of his wife.

He is survived by his two daughters Kathy Schad and Marilyn Yager. Hiram had a total of fourteen grandchildren Christy Redifer, Stephanie Serna, Seth Sellars, Kara Parris, Brandy Schoffer, Steven Sellars Jr., Tim Schad, Garrett Sellars, Kyle Jackson, Josiah Sellars, Jessica Brown, Devanier Brown, Christopher Yager and Juliah Yager. He also had 16 great grandchildren.
