Herbert Ean Gallavan (Herbie), 85, daughter of Herbert Earl Pelton and Alma Catherine Gordon has shed her earthly bonds to join our Lord this 3rd Day of November, 2013. She is survived by her husband, Robert Henry Gallavan, Sr. and her six children - Christopher Gordon Gallavan, Robert Henry Gallavan Jr., Kathleen Margaret Gallavan, Stephen Paul Gallavan, Angela Marie Gallavan Chacon and Thomas Andrew Gallavan and thirteen grandchildren – Christopher Robert Gallavan, Brian Marsh Gallavan, Robert Henry Gallavan III, Theresa Ellen Gallavan, Stephanie Marie Gallavan, Andrew William Gallavan, Melissa Cara Stepp Marshall, Lauren Reynosa, Cristobal HerbertEan Chacon, Calista Maria Chacon, Kylee Erin Gallavan, Patrick Gordon Gallavan and Brogan Marie Gallavan as well as nine great grandchildren.
Herbie was the wife of a career air force officer, travelled the world with her husband and raised her family in both domestic and international locations. Her love of antiques, jewelry, art, culture and travel are reflected in her home, her stories, her friendships and her family. As her children got older, she developed her passion for all things equestrian together with her interests in design and precious stones into an international jewelry business, Bright Reflections, specializing in high end jewelry and the equestrian clientele. After having raised her family, she retired to Phoenix, Arizona in 1997 and continued with her jewelry business, enjoying the scenic Phoenix/Scottsdale area, golfing and continuing her travels and visits with her children and grandchildren across the United States and South America. She is truly the matriarch of our family, has blessed us with many beautiful and treasured memories, and molded us into the adults we are today. May she rest in peace and watch over us into eternity.
It is Herbie’s wish to be cremated and for her children to spread her ashes in the Pacific Ocean. She chose the Pacific because it means ‘peaceful’ and is where she would like to rest. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wounded Warrior Project in her memory are welcome.
