After 79 years of a life full of love and adventures, Henry Louis Sipos passed away unexpectedly on March 17, 2022 with his wife, son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter directly at his side. He came to a peaceful rest and returned to God to be reunited with his parents Luella and Alexander Sipos.
Henry loved to work, be it on his beautiful yard, on countless online Mahjong games, for St. Mark Lutheran Church, and of course as an architect. He was a driving force on many construction projects across Phoenix, Arizona but beyond his love of design what brought him back to work every day was his love of mentoring and guiding the next generation of architects, which is why after retiring from Gould Evans and Associates he returned as a contract associate.
He is survived by his loving family: his wife, Marlynne, his son, David, daughter-in-law, Christy, granddaughter, Taylor, nephew, Richard, and sister, Stella Hopkins. Henry was a man who loved to listen (except when his hearing aids were conveniently turned off) and could always be heard with a boisterous laugh or wise words.
Join us for a celebration of life on May 10, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Mark Lutheran Church at 3030 E. Thunderbird Rd. Phoenix, Arizona 85032. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Henry’s memory to the St. Mark Lutheran Church: Building Fund.
We love you Papa, please take care.
