Tom moved with his family from Illinois to Arizona when he was a young boy. He graduated from Marcos DeNiza High School in Tempe. For many years Tom was active in the Special Olympics. He was a fan of Elvis Presley and quite knowledgeable in Classic Country Western music. Tom could identify most country western singers from the 40’s to the 60’s. Minnie Pearl, Waylen Jennins, Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, and Patsy Cline all could be heard from on occasion. Tom had a great memory and liked to play board games in his younger years. He loved to go for car rides to South Mountain. He loved his friends. He had a dry quick wit, and he loved Oreo Blizzards.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Imogene and his sister Brenda.
Tom is survived by a small but important group of care givers who grew to love him as he loved them.
