Gwendolyn Wood

Gwendolyn Wood, born 1936 in Lubbock, Texas, she lived in Dallas, Fort Worth, Marana, Phoenix, Flagstaff, Salt Lake City, and Carefree. Gwendolyn was a member of North Ridge Community Church in Cave Creek, Arizona. Survivors include sons Wesley Farrel Wood and Clark James Wood, grandchildren Jeremy Scherer, Randi Campbell, Abigail Scherer, Megan Wood, Kacey Wood, Rachael Wood, and Trevor Wood, and great granddaughters Taylor Campbell and Janessa Scherer. Gwendolyn was preceded in death by father Virgil Robert Piott, mother Vera Alice Piott (Ward), stepmother Eula Lavelle Piott (Matney), husband James Wesley Wood, daughter Holly Jean Scherer (Wood). Funeral will be held at Resthaven/Carr-Tenney Mortuary and Memorial Gardens, 4310 East Southern Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona 85042 on Saturday, January 16, 2016. Relatives and friends are welcome from 9:00-11:00 for the viewing with funeral services immediately following.
