Gloria Sanchez

Gloria Sanchez, 65 of Phoenix, Arizona passed away peacefully on April 18, 2013. She is survived by her loving companion Blas Mendivil Jr., her first husband Julian Sanchez, sons Florentino Robert Sanchez, Richard Sanchez, Blas Mendivil Sr., daughters Juliana Sanchez, Patricia Michele Sanchez, brothers Fermin Jr., Joseph, Paul Villavicencio, sisters Alicia Wancowicz, Ruth Parks, Marty McQuiston, Sylvia Jordan, Mary Salaiz, Grace Vargas, Tomacita Villavicencio, 18 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and many more family and friends. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents Obedia Manuela and Fermin Villavicencio, and her brothers Daniel and Peter Villavicencio. You will always be in our hearts. A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, April 26, 2013 at Funeraria Del Angel Greer Wilson, 5921 W. Thomas Rd. Phoenix, Arizona. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 3140 N. 51st Ave. Phoenix, Arizona. Interment will follow at Greenwood Memory Lawn.

Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free

to follow the path God laid for me.

I took His hand when I heard Him call.

I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day,

to love, to laugh, to work or play.

Tasks left undone must stay that way,

for I found that peace at the close of day.

If my parting has left a void,

then fill it with remembered joy.

A friendship started, a laugh, a kiss,

oh yes, these things I too will miss.

Be not burdened with hearts of sorrow.

My wish for you is the hope of tomorrow.

My life’s been full, I’ve savored much,

good friends, good times,

a loved one’s touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,

don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.

Lift up your heart and share with me,

God wanted me now: He set me free.
