Gloria Rodriguez

Gloria Rodriguez, 65, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022. She was born on July 13, 1957 in a small pueblo Ejido La Campana, outside of Tlahualilo de Zaragoza, Durango Mexico. She spent her childhood in La Comarca Lagunera and moved to Juarez, Chihuahua in her early teens where she spent her time between Juarez and El Paso. In 1980 at the age of 23, she visited Phoenix for vacation and never left.

Survivors include two sons, Miguel (Tiffany) and Raby (Ashlee) and seven grandchildren.

Gloria loved to spend her time with her grandchildren and exploring Arizona. Gloria impacted many lives from her service at church as well as her employment at Central High School as the Cafeteria Manager for over 20 years. Countless boys and girls from church and school called her mom along with her son’s friends. She had an infectious smile and caring heart. Her amor y cariño that she shared with the world will be greatly missed along with her amazing homemade meals.

Visitation services will be held Friday, November 4, 2022 at the Evangelical Church, 2925 W Polk St., Phoenix, AZ 85009 from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm. A Celebration of Life followed by her burial will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Greenwood Memory Lawn Serenity Chapel, 719 N 27th Ave., Phoenix, Arizona 85009.
