He was born July 8th 1932 in Nazareth, PA. A son of the late John R. Sr. and Rose Bonstein Davis. He
was married to June A. (Parsons) Davis for 31 years before her death on September 15th 2014.
Jerry graduated from Nazareth High School in 1950.
He served his country during the Korean War, joining the U. S. Air Force and becoming a Flight Engineer,
maintaining various types of aircraft. He shared many service stories with us, especially the ones where he
accompanied a general, serving as Crew Chief on flights around the U.S. in a B25 Mitchell.
After the service, he worked his way to becoming an electrician at both Penn Dixie Cement, Nazareth, and
Hercules Cement, Stockertown, PA.
In 1982, Jerry and June relocated to Arizona where he was employed as Head Custodian at Road Runner
Elementary school, Phoenix, AZ. from which he retired in 1997. “Mr. Jerry” was well liked by both school
staff and the children who attended the school, and was honored with a School District Lamplighter award.
He was a member of All Saints Lutheran Church located in Phoenix, AZ. Survivors: Sons, Michael Davis
and wife Mary, Hellertown, PA, Brian Davis, Phoenix, AZ, daughter Patricia Stout, Phoenix, AZ, stepsons
David Tucker and wife Shelia of Los Gatos, CA, and Derek Tucker of Phoenix, AZ.
Grandchildren: Ryan Davis, Hawley, PA, Cyndie Vasko and partner George Henninger, Weissport, PA,
Randy Olson and wife Rachel, Gold Canyon, AZ, Patrick Stout and wife Nikky, Glendale, AZ, Allen Stout of
Black Canyon City, AZ, Laura Tucker and fiancée Jeff Benjamin of Seattle, WA, Dillon Tucker and wife
Sohlee of Los Gatos, CA, and Sydney and Grace Tucker of Los Gatos, CA. Great grandchildren: Kayla,
Dylan, Ayslin, Liliana, Syler, Tucker, Johnny, Bradley, Sophie, and Oliver. He was predeceased by three
brothers, Kermit, John Jr. and Russell Davis, and six sisters, Roselle Gordino, Elizabeth Bartholomew,
Jean Metz, Sylvia Kirchoffer, Shirley Hocking. and Doris Snyder.
