George Louis Chrisman Jr.

Phoenix – George Louis Chrisman Jr., 94 - of Phoenix AZ, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2022. He was born July 10, 1927, in San Jose, CA to the late Helen Estelle Weeks and George Louis Chrisman. He graduated from Los Gatos High School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War and then enjoyed a 50+ year career in journalism. He spent time working for the San Jose Mercury News, The Arizona Republic, and the Sun City Daily News-Sun. He is preceded in death by his first wife Betty (Barbieri) Chrisman and second wife Helen Bays. He is survived by his children Walter (Catherine) Chrisman and Mary Helen Chrisman, and his three grandchildren Wesley, Abigail, and William.

Visitation will be at 9:20am and the funeral mass will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, March 29 at SS. Simon & Jude Cathedral 6351 N 27th Ave. Phoenix, AZ 85017. Burial service will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery 2033 N 48th St. Phoenix, AZ 85008.
