Francis was born to the late George and Inez Perkins June 1, 1921 in Pilot Grove, MO. He married the late Sarah Perkins on July 06, 1947 and they lived together in Phoenix, AZ.
Francis served in the Army during World War II. He later came home and served at Williams Field Air Force Base where we met his future wife, then Sarah N. Yutze. He eventually left with honorable discharge as a corporal. He went on to work at the Reynolds Metal Factory in 1950 and retired in 1983.
Francis was a devout Catholic and was a member of the St. Vincent De Paul Parish.
Francis is survived by two daughters and two sons: Mary Shepard, of Prescott and Grace Rood, Mario Gil, and Fidel Jaurgui of Phoenix. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and three great, great–grandchildren.
A viewing will be held Saturday February 15, 2014 from 8-9:30 a.m. at Del Angel Greer-Wilson Chapel followed by 10 o’clock Mass at the St. Vincent De Paul Parish. Following the Mass there will be an escorted procession to St. Francis Cemetery where he will be laid to rest.
