Frank was born April 4, 1932 in Chicago, IL, son of the late Francisco Antonio Diaz and Maria De Jesus Vazquez del Marco. He graduated from De Paul University and Illinois Institute of Chicago. Frank worked as a chemist for many years before finding his passion for Real Estate. He had a successful career in Real Estate for nearly four decades.
Frank loved motorsports and owned and raced MG’s for many years. He remained a member of the MG Club up until his death. Frank also loved motorcycles and loved to ride. Frank actually rode a motorcycle and a camel across the Sahara Desert! He loved to travel and experience the culture of many countries and continents. Frank loved to swim, walk, animals, old movies, eating and visiting with friends. He had an amazing sense of humor and laughed often, making others laugh with him.
Frank was a member of Our Lady of Joy in Scottsdale and found comfort in his faith in his final days.
Frank is survived by his daughter, Anne Diaz of Chicago, Il, his Grandaughter, Almaz Diaz of Chicago, IL, His brother Richard “Dickie” and his wife Nancy of Missouri City, Texas, a sister, Carmen and her husband Dennis Smith of Chicago, IL, several nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and his best friend, Jodi Parot of Phoenix, AZ. Frank was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sheilagh Diaz.
Frank will be deeply missed, but we are comforted with the idea that he will be reunited with his wife in the
afterlife.
