Frances Therrien, 82, peacefully passed away on February 24, 2017, at 3:15 a.m., at Abrazo Hospital, Scottsdale Campus Hospice facility, in Phoenix, AZ after a long illness. Frances was born in Lansing Michigan on October 30, 1934, to Jack Maurice Miller and Edna Miller, and was the fifth of six children in the family. Frances enjoyed life to the fullest. She was an exceptional bridge player, and enjoyed competitive games of all kind. Her favorite actor was Red Skelton, and as such, she became an avid collector of clown dolls and pictures. She had a great fondness for her Schnauzer dogs over her lifetime. A great sense of humor, and a quick wit and her outgoing personality made it easy for her to make new friends. She spent many years researching her roots and successfully traced them back to the 15th century. Frances was preceded in death by her Father and Mother, and all of her siblings and Grandson Chuck McCarley. She is survived by her Husband of 7 years, Edward, of Phoenix, AZ; her daughter, Debra Jean McCarley, and Son In Law Charles McCarley, Grandson Nicholas McCarley and his wife Jessica McCarley of Seguin, Texas, Great Grandsons Austin Bramlett of Slaton, Texas and Tyler McCarley, of Lubbock, Texas, Daughter In Law Darcy Therrien-Miller of Naperville, IL, Great Granddaughter Rachael Karr, of Tacoma, WN, and many nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends all over the United States and Europe. Cremation was handled by Shadow Mountain Mortuary, Phoenix. A memorial is being planned for later in the month. Frances loved life, loved her family and loved her friends. She will be missed by all that knew her.
