

Frances Marion Lovinggood Kent, 88, passed away peacefully October 12, 2015, in Phoenix. She was born September 10, 1927, in Tallahassee, Florida and moved to Phoenix with her family when she was five years old. She grew up in Sunnyslope and Phoenix. She attended the Desert Mission Church and graduated from Glendale High School, class of 1946. Frances attended business college to become a stenographer. She started her career as a secretary working for Reynolds Metals Company and was editor of the plant news magazine, “AlumiNews,” for many years.She married and had two children.Frances worked for the Arizona Highway Department (ADOT), the Department of Administration, and the Department of Economic Security. She retired after 46 years of state service.She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Leon Lovinggood; mother, Georgia Ann Mixon Lovinggood; and brother, Preston Cameron Lovinggood.She is survived by daughter Caroline Lee (Drew) Sitler and son David Leith (Sally) Kent.Services are private with family.Frances will be laid to eternal rest at the First United Methodist Church Memorial Garden @5510 North Central Ave Phoenix, AZ.
