Forrest Andrew Van Sickle, Jr. “Van”, 89, of Phoenix, Arizona went to be with his Heavenly Father at 1:45 a.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2011. Forrest was born on September 8, 1922 in Macon, Missouri. He has made Phoenix his home since 1937. Forrest was born to Forrest Andrew Van Sickle, Sr. and Anna Pearl Cress Van Sickle. In 1944, he married Marguerite Cerva and to this union were born three sons and one daughter. After a divorce in 1966, he married Marie Chapman Price on March 24, 1967. Van owned and operated Van’s Heating and Air Conditioning from 1948 to 1972. He then worked for The State Registrar of Contractors for 10 years. He and Marie were active in Square Dancing and traveled 49 states in their Motor Home. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints honoring his several callings. He leaves behind his loving wife, Marie and his four children John (Terry), Mike (Michele), Rick (Bonnie) and daughter Mary Werne (Jay). Forrest is also survived by one brother, Lloyd (Peggy) Van Sickle of Phoenix and 6 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. There will be a viewing at A.L. Moore Grimshaw Mortuary at 710 W. Bethany Home Rd. on Friday, Oct. 14 from 6:00-8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be Saturday, Oct. 15 at 10:00 AM at the Osborn Ward Building at 3120 N. 18th Ave. in Phoenix with a viewing one hour before the service. Interment will follow at Phoenix Memorial Park, 200 W. Beardsley Rd., Phoenix, AZ.
