Flora "Ruth" Rogers, 93, went to be with the Lord on March 19, 2014. Graveside services will be held at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery on Friday, March 28, 2014 at 10 am. Ruth was born in Hope, New Mexico on September 23, 1920 and was the seventh of nine children. Ruth dedicated her life to her family and career, as a day care director at Desert Mission Day Nursery. She attended church regularly, taught Sunday school, read her bible daily, and instilled in her family the importance of having God in their lives. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Alfred D. Rogers. She is survived by her sister, Millicent Lacy, as well as her daughters Jennifer Stone (Jack), Kathy Nowlin (Jim), Karen Maybin (Mike) and Cheryl Alcott (Henry). She was a beloved Nana to her 11 grandchildren, 16 great grand children and one great great grandchild. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Suntown Assisted Living and Hospice of Arizona for the love and care she received in the last months of her life.
