Bud was a gentleman and a gentle man.
We have fond memories of Bud and Marion at their homes in Phoenix, AZ ( the deep fried turkey ) and beautiful Branch, NL and the fun Kelly family cruise way back when. Condolences to Marion and family 

Bud and my husband Kirk had been the best of friends ever since their school days in Louisiana. When Kirk passed away in 2007 Bud was here I have been profoundly grateful for his support and friendship. In the years since Marion and Bud visited whenever they were in the neighborhood. I've truly valued their friendship and support and Marion I hope you feel my love, compassion and support as you navigate these difficult times. My Love to all of you, Barb Klemme

To be called a friend by Bud was an honour. A great gentle man and a gentleman to boot. Always encouraging and industrious. Much admired and emulated. A very sad loss.

From the first time we met Bud and Marion, it was obvious that we had a couple of new friends. Bud and I had some good conversations during many “eat out” meals, (one of his favourite things to do).
   His death came as a real shock to us, as things seemed to be going so well. Our feelings of compassion go out to his entire family circle. We hope that you find the strength you need to carry on without his kind presence. Take care

Bud was one few people in my life that I called Sir, Commander, My Carpet Installer, Fellow Aviator, Mentor, Friend and Brother. What more can I say about such a Great Man. Our friendship was over 40+ years. I haven't had or even heard a bad thought/word about Bud. Most of us can't say that.

When I graduated Flight School and came back to Det 1, HHC, 135th ENGR GP. Bud was my Commander. He knew nothing about me and wonder who this spy was that COL Bean had assigned him. It wasn't long till we were best of friends. 

Bud would always ask me to go with him to the Annual ENGR Group Party. I always felt it was such a great honor till I found out I was the only one in the Detachment that had a set of Dress Blues. I always enjoyed going with him and Marion.

As he was getting me out of trouble, I can still hear him say "Robbie, what did you do that for?" We worked hard together, and we partied hard as well. 

Marion, I wished I was there to give you a big old hug. 
Gene, remember to a lot of us, you will always be Bud Lite.
Dave, if you are anything like you dad or Gene, I need to meet you someday.

Dear, sweet Bud.   There are not enough good words in the dictionary to describe this man.  He was just a thoroughly decent, kind gentleman.  A “gentleman” in the truest sense of the word.
Bud and Marion were the first people to welcome me to the USA,  and many good times followed.
Oh, how we all laughed, the last time that we all had dinner together,  in pre Covid days. We always had such fun together.
That is one of the many happy, good memories that I, personally have, of spending time with Bud and Marion.   
We are so lucky to call them our good friends.
I was hugely sad to hear of Bud’s sudden passing, heartbroken actually… but, he is just in another room.  I firmly believe that.  
Bud is now flying around on a different set of (well deserved) wings.   God Bless You Bud.

Bud was a good man, a kind man and a friend to many.  Bud put in the time to reach out to people and stay in touch. There was always a laugh and a concern for your well-being. A trait that I admired and try to emulate. My deepest condolences to Marion and the family. Bud will be sorely missed.

When I talked with Bud in Branch, on my yearly trips home, I knew he was really interested, not in himself, but in what I had to say and what I thought. He asked genuine questions and waited for my answer, whether it was about politics, higher education, or life in Branch. I really appreciated that about him. As an American living half the year in Newfoundland, he managed to fit right in, to be a good Branch man and to leave his mark on everyone he met. May he rest in peace.

Our sincere condolences to to Marion and  all Buds Family. Our thoughts are with you all at this sad and difficult time. Bud was a lovely person who was well liked by all that knew him. We sure enjoyed his visits to Jos and Frans place in Branch. He surely will be missed in Branch. May he’s gentle soul RIP 

Words seem inadequate during times like this, but I want you all to know how sorry  we are for your loss.  We always enjoyed Buds warm hugs  and thoroughly enjoyed their summer deck visits with us in Branch.  May you find comfort in all the special memories you  shared with Bud!

So very sorry to hear about Bud's passing.  What a great friend.  Really going to miss all our conversations while looking out at the ocean over morning coffee.  Rest in peace Bud.

We will dearly miss seeing Bud come home every year, We always looked for his light to come on at his home.  Will mis our Saturday evening visis. Rest easy.

Deepest condolences to Marion and Buds family on his passing…He will be forever missed at The Loft by all the workers ..We would sit and wonder what time Marion And Bud would be home for that meal..daily visit and chat..always get to sit and the chat could be about any topic in general..Anything needing fixing Bud was there to help with that..this was so sudden and his memories will live on with us and surely will be missed..take care Marion and we will see you the summer…Another angel to look over us and take good care of us all…
