Ernest Philip Kaiser, 79, passed away peacefully in Phoenix, Arizona on May 4, 2015 in the presence of his family and loved ones holding his hands before he began his last and greatest journey.
"Ernie" was born on November 22, 1935 in Oak Park, Illinois and spent his life traveling around the world, experiencing as much of it as he could. Along the way, Ernie made friends in every corner and left a lasting impression with everyone that crossed his path. Funny, compassionate, genius, and of course, stubborn, are the most likely words that anyone he knew, would use to describe him.
Ernie was survived by his daughter, Anne Kaiser; son and daughter-in-law, Philip and Stephanie Kaiser; granddaughter, Ava Kaiser; two sisters, Christine and Margaret Kaiser; his children's mother, Ofa Kaiser and countless friends and family across the globe. Ernie was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anne Kaiser and sister, Mary Ann Arnold.
Ernie's life will be celebrated for ages to come and while we may all mourn his loss, it was Ernie, our Dad, that told us, "life on this planet is only half of the big picture, there is more to come." He has moved onto this new adventure and last big journey.
A private service was held by Ernie's family on May 8, 2015 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85024.
