Emily was born on December 17, 1984. She played club softball and was active in Peoria High School’s FFA and VICA programs. Emily had several jobs in the insurance industry, where she excelled in customer service. She was ordained to officiate weddings and performed several family and friends’ ceremonies. Emily was an avid reader and a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan. She was a member of the AZ 4 x 4 Club and assisted with promotional activities. Emily volunteered for the Sundance Elementary and Peoria High School Booster Clubs. In 2019 she was honored as Sundance Volunteer of the Year.
Emily’s greatest legacy was the love and support she showed her four children. She was their biggest champion. Emily attended their sporting events, band concerts, choir concerts, dance recitals, and many more activities. Emily had an amazing heart and showed those close to her how much she loved and cared about them. She will truly be missed.
Emily is survived by son Joshua Williams, and girlfriend Valerie Goucher; sons Jason Williams, and Brendon Remillard; and daughter Rosalie Remillard; She is also survived by: mother Mary ”Zibby” Schuett, stepfather Trace Schuett, sister Elizabeth (Steve) Barr, niece Poppy; grandmothers Jody Reed and Deliuz Montoya; aunts and uncles: Bill and Lynn Folk, Marta Marlow, Margaret and Art Ramirez, and Michelle and Manny Ramirez; along with many cousins, and special friend Falen Hague. Emily was preceded in death by father Peter Montoya, Jr.; grandfathers: Peter Montoya, Sr., Robert Folk and Homer Reed; and uncle Jerry Marlow.
Memorial donations may be made to Arizona Autism United or the American Cancer Society.
Emily’s Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 a.m. on January 4, 2024, at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350E. Greenway Road, Phoenix. Guests are invited to wear a splash of purple, Emily’s favorite color.
