Eleanor Santa Maria Canisales

Eleanor Santa Maria Canisales of Phoenix passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at the age of 93. Eleanor was born May 9th, 1929 in Miami, Arizona to Manuel and Carmen Santa Maria. Eleanor is preceded in death by her husband John P. Canisales. Eleanor is survived by her sons John S. Canisales (Bernice) and Rudy Canisales and her daughters Lydia Canisales, Sylvia Moreno, and Imelda Abril (John). She leaves behind 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren that she loved and adored.

Eleanor loved shopping, growing her flowers and spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her joyful spirit and loving heart. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She was loved by all and will be deeply missed by many.

A visitation for Eleanor will be held Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at 9:00 AM at Our Lady of Fatima, 1418 S. 17th Ave, Phoenix, Arizona 85007. A rosary service will occur Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at 10:00 AM, 1418 S. 17th Ave, Phoenix, Arizona 85007. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at 11:00 AM, 1418 S. 17th Ave, Phoenix, Arizona 85007. A committal service will occur Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at 1:00 PM at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, Arizona 85024.
