Elaine L Harris

Elaine L. Joshlin was born on August 14, 1956 in Phoenix, Arizona to Austin Joshlin & Carrie Willis. Elaine moved to California in 1984 where she worked for the City of Long Beach Police Department and then transferred over to City Tow Yard until she retired. She also met the man of her dreams Barry Harris while living in California who was in the military. The world is a better place for having her in it. She always brought joy and laughter to anyone who was graced by her presence, and her gentle spirit had a way of calming one's soul. The joy of the Lord was truly her strength every day. We would call her the social butterfly because she loved to sit outside of her mom's house and minister to people. She was part of the Abundant Life Women's Ministry. She would greet everyone with a Jesus smile and make them feel special. Elaine loved the Lord and she knew He loved her. Elaine is survived by her loving husband Barry of 26 years; mother Carrie Willis; daughter Shebra Joshlin; and two grandchildren Trevon Harris and RJ Washington; siblings Michael Joshlin, Lathan Teague, Diane Teague, David Teague, Karen Ballard, Karol Calhoun, Darron Willis, Beverly Jones, Marilyn Perry, Janet Joshlin, Austin Joshlin, James Joshlin; Aunt Eula Hill and a host of, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
