Edwin Nels Rasmussen Jr.

Edwin Nels Rasmussen 67, of Peoria, Arizona passed away on September 27, 2014. Ed's parents Agnus Rasmussen and Edwin Nels Rasmussen Sr. are also deceased. Ed is survived by his wife of 40 years, Trish, daughters Tamara, Heather and Angela, sons David and Steven. Ed is also survived by 4 sisters and 2 brothers; Phyllis Reiten, Sharon Keith, Nancy Hildebrand, Sandy Ryan, Carl Rasmussen and Gary Rasmussen. Ed leaves behind 13 grandchildren. Ed worked for Hilton hotels for 24 years. He is a retired Wayne County Michigan Police Officer. He was loved for his compassion to help others, his huge sense of humor, the way he lived his life to the fullest. He enjoyed golfing, spending time on his boat on the lake where he resided. He enjoyed participating for organizations and getting involved in the community. He loved Christmas, family and hosting events. Although his time came to soon and his death was unexpected, the family will carry a lot of the memories shared in their hearts forever. Our family is deeply saddened for the loss is Ed. We know he would want all of his loved ones to continue on in his honor. We will be strong and carry on for him like he was strong for us. This isn't goodbye, it's see you in heaven when it's our time to go. Until then you are our angel watching over each and everyone of us. I think your going to enjoy that job because you always did have to know everything about everyone and what they were up to! Now you always know! We love you and miss you so much!
