Doyle Durwood Bain

June 19, 1951 – September 15, 2022

Doyle Durwood Bain, Jr went to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on September 15th, 2022. Doyle was born at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix June 19th, 1951.

Doyle grew up in Arizona and New Mexico. He graduated from Sandia High School in Albuquerque and attended the University of New Mexico until his junior year, when he met his soon to be wife Janice at Del Norte Baptist Church. Janice and Doyle were married for 46 years and were always deeply in love. Janice preceded Doyle in death October 15th, 2017.

Doyle enjoyed many careers, but his favorite was hauling mobile homes and escorting mobile homes and large loads. Doyle loved to figure things out and calculate loads and angles for transport and delivery. He and Janice owned their own transport business (D & J transport) for several years. Doyle was also a model train enthusiast and held several offices in the Grand Canyon Model Train Club.

Doyle loved to help people. He was a member of the Bernalillo County Volunteer Fire Department in the North Valley of Albuquerque. He and Janice were also volunteers for REACT and participated in search and rescue. Doyle led worship for several churches and was a deacon for many years.

Doyle was very active at Orangewood Community Church. He was a commissioned Stephen Minister. He also worked on the church security team and provided transportation to church events and services for multiple members.

Everywhere Doyle went he made close lifelong friends. He had multiple best friends and is claimed as an adopted brother by many more.

Doyle is survived by his sisters Loretta Bain Sherman of Erie PA, Evelyn Bain of San Angelo Tx, and adopted sisters Toni Cotton and Fatima Conteh.

A memorial service for Doyle will be held Monday, November 7, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services – Maryvale, 6901 West Indian School Road, Phoenix, AZ 85033.
