Dorothy was born in Phoenix on March 22, 1933 to Mamie and Clarence Perkins. She was the youngest of 6 children and is preceded in death by her husband, her 5 older siblings and her parents.
Dorothy married the love of her life, Bob, on April 20, 1953 and they went on to have 6 children.
As a military family they moved around, living in Virginia, Colorado, France, and Kansas but ultimately retired back home to Phoenix in 1968. She was married for 53 years when her husband Bob passed in 2006.
Among the things that made her happiest were her family, the Arizona Diamondbacks, the latest technology, Amazon, casinos, Mexican food, music, Bud Light, and spending time with her best friend of 73 years, Rose.
She had a gift of making strangers feel like friends and friends feel like family.
She is survived by her sons, Tom, Mike and Brian, her daughters, Barbara, Susan, and Debbie, her kids-in-law, Chuck, Shari, Maureen, Griff, and Miguel, her grandson Chuck and wife Alicia, her step-grandkids Clint, Andy, Carissa, Clint, Camryn, and MacKenzie, her great grandson Charlie, her great granddaughter Quinn, and many step-great grandchildren. She loved them all dearly.
Memorial Services will be held on Friday, December 6, 2019 at 11:00 am at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary, 719 N. 27th Ave., Phoenix, AZ.
