Dorothy Myers

Myers, Dorothy Wright 91, Loving and beloved Wife, Mother, sister, soul left this world 03-19-2013 to rejoin her husband James E Myers Sr. of 57 years to be with our Lord, Jesus Christ. Born 12-03-1921, Harvel, Illinois. Dorothy's family moved with family to AZ at 11 years old. She met Jim in high school. They married 06-25-1940. A Faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed being in nature and summer camping with Family and Grandchildren. Favorite places to camp were Sedona, Bear Canyon Lake, Grand Canyon. Dorothy Devoted her time and talents to the Youth in Church callings, Boy Scouts and Camp Fire girls. Dorothy a recipient of Boy Scouting Silver Beaver Award and earned her Woodbadge award at South Mountain Scout Pueblo. Survived and missed by Sister Anne Schacht, Daughters Dorothy Eileen Hansen (Neal), Mary Ann Vanover (Mike),Nancy Jean Funk (Raymond), Jimmie Lou, Son James Jr (Karen) more Daughters Barbara Sue Lewis (James), Trudy Kay Jones (Verlane), Tina Lynn Billau (Richard). She loved and gave us great memories with her 27 grandchildren and 48 Great grandchildren they all Love and adored her. Funeral Services will be Held at LDS church at 650 West Southern Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85041 on Friday March 29, 2013. Viewing from 10:00am and Service at 11:00am with Interment to follow at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery.
