My Aunt Donna touched the lives of many. She made people look and feel better about themselves throughout her career of over 50+ years of cosmetology. She began her career in Detroit Michigan in her early years, but decided to move to Arizona to be with her parents in 1975. Her love for Arizona from that moment on never faded. She loved Arizona so much, that she never looked back and worked for over 30 years in Sun City as a hairdresser. She always spoke of how great Arizona was to anyone that she talked with.
As a woman of faith, she prayed every day, and had a special love for her family and her pets. Her family had a special love for her also, this includes her parents Charles and Anna Keko, Clements and Mary Ann Reamer (Sister), Donald Keko (Brother), and Edward (Nephew) and Norma Reamer. She lived in Glendale for the last 50 years. One of her favorite things to do was watching Hallmark movies, listening to her music collection, and meeting friends at local community gatherings to listen and dance to Johnny Cash, and Elvis tribute bands.
She loved to attend the Glendale Wild West festivals with Donald and Edward when they were in town, and while she did not travel on her own that much, she was able to experience the beauty of Sedona with Edward and Norma in the recent months prior to her passing.
While she did not serve in the military, her Father Charles was a decorated WWII veteran and she had a love for her country. She kept up with current events and was passionate about political events and elections. She often had a feisty spirit, and when she felt strongly about a certain topic, she was never shy about speaking her mind!
While Donna aged gracefully over the years, she still was a child at heart in many ways. She loved to collect porcelain figurines and stuffed animals, in particular Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Her love, graceful spirit, and kindness, will be dearly missed by all.
