Dong Ming Hom, 88, passed into eternal glory on September 23, 2012. Mr. Hom was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He immigrated from Hoi Ping, China to the United States when was he was a teenager. He served in the US Navy during World War II. After the war he was a long-time successful grocer in Phoenix, AZ. Dong was predeceased by his wife Carol and daughter Linda. He is survived by sons Donald (Susan), Henry, Raymond, and James (Linda), grandchildren Brian Fong, Debbie Wolfe (Bill), Justin (Charlyn), Lisa, Bradley, Matthew (Andrea), Brittani, and great grandchildren Allison and Tyler. Contributions in his memory can be made to First Chinese Baptist Church, Northwest Chinese Baptist Church or the American Heart Assoc. A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2012, at 9 AM in Memory Chapel at Greenwood Memory Lawn, 719 N 27th Ave, Phoenix. Funeral services will follow in the Chapel at 10 AM.
