Don Williams was born in Ventura, Ca and moved with his family to Phoenix as a child to attend Longview Elem. He was a gifted athlete who played football and baseball. He went on to North HS and then to Phoenix College where he met and married Patti. He moved on to Weber State University on a football scholarship and was scouted by several professional teams, but with two small children he decided to switch his devotion to the Phoenix Fire Dept, where he served 37 years, and was very proud of it all being in operations, retiring as Deputy Chief. He was preceded in death by parents Don & Lorraine and sister Jackie, leaving siblings Joyce, Jeannine (husband Joe) and Dan (wife Karen), wife Patti, children Kathy and Tommy (wife April) and grandsons Cole, Maxwell, Nixon and Grey.
