I met Dillon early 2020 when my daughter tried out for the centennial drumline. My daughter always spoke highly of him and the interactions I had with him were always positive. I’d had the pleasure of watching him play on drumline and for NoPo indoor the 2020-2021 season. I always enjoyed it. He was funny and talented and so entertaining. He was a good kid. I always appreciated that he was nice to my daughter who’s was a freshman and new to the drumline. My heart aches for Dillon’s Family and friends. Sending them so much love and positive thoughts during this hard time.

Dillon loved to visit us in California. We always looked forward to these visits and spending time at the ocean. Dillon loved the sand and the surf. I will always remember his beautiful face and the sound of his sweet voice. He was perfect and precious and I will always remember my amazing nephew for his smart and inquisitive nature.

Dillon loved his cousins and spending extra time paying attention to them.

Dillon was always confident that he had Alex's back.

Never a dull moment hanging out with Dillon and the kids. Dillon was always so sweet with Alex. Alex is a sensitive kid and he always knew how to relate to him and make him feel comfortable.

My earliest memories of Dillon are when he would come out with his brothers and mom to visit  my brother and sister-in-law in San Diego.  I always felt that he had an old soul at a very young age.  He never had to be at the center of attention, but his calm, cool demeanor was always felt.  Upon our move to Arizona, we were fortunate that his family took us in and included us holidays and cookie decorating traditions. When Cedric joined our family over seven years ago, Dillon and his family warmly embraced him, treating him like a cousin. Dillon had always demonstrated a caring and engaging character with the kids, displaying a protective nature, especially towards Emma and Alex, which later extended to Cedric. Many conversations revolved around the unfairness of circumstances before Cedric joined our household. Unfortunately, I do not have many of these memories in pictures as I was always the one to forget to take pictures, but I do have this one.  Although the lighting may not be good, I feel that this encapsulates the spirit of Dillon and the  genuine connection he had with Cedric and other kids, giving them his undivided attention and care. Seriously?? Look at how freaking cute he is!

I would often babysit for my sister during high school and a few years thereafter. Almost every time upon arriving at her home, I would be greeted by her dog Jaga and Nathan running around the house at top speed with a loud toy in his hand, and Joshua passed out in Jenny's arm while she would frantically get ready to head out the door.  I would glance over see Dillon quietly sitting on the couch; his face would light up with a soft and inviting grin and he would politely ask me if I would sit with him and cuddle, and to watch cartoons... Every time I would happily oblige. I could go on in much further detail about Dillon's infectious smile and laid back personality as a young kid, but I could never find the perfect words to describe him and how I remember him. 

My biggest regret as his aunt was failing to stay in touch with him and his brothers. I am now only coming to the realization that I have lost the opportunity to reconnect with Dillon and develop a strong and relatable connection with a family member who was experiencing struggles that were similar to my own experiences. 

I will always remember the quiet, calm, laid back little kid with the cutest, most infectious smile that would turn even the worst of frowns upside down.

Dillon Azrael Narang, my Grandson.  I will miss this young man.  I thought he was so cool.  The last I saw him he had an interest in being a musician and was playing in a band with some friends.  We had some great adventures together that I will never forget.  Everyday I prayed he would find his way.   My heart goes out to his family and friends in this tragic time.

This is a picture at the zoo. You are so good with all the kids and I remember this like it was yesterday.

I got a new underwater camera and Dylan was some of the first shots I was able to get with it. He was full of awesome tricks!

Alex hated getting hair cuts but he loved getting this one with Dillon at the barber shop.

We met Dillon during our EMT course Senior year of HS. With his beautiful spirit, and comedic conversations, it's no wonder people were so drawn to him. He thought outside the box, and was very creative. Especially in showing us his new tracks that came out, or telling us what he did that weekend. His innovative mindset pushed us to do more. Fly high brother. 🕊
