83, passed away on January 7, 2012 in Phoenix. Born in Topeka, Kansas in 1928 he moved with his family to Arizona in 1962 to work for First Federal Savings and Loan. He worked for the Company all over Arizona for the next 31 years retiring in 1992 as a full Vice President. A Navy veteran he served from May of 1946 to March of 1953 when he was honorably discharged. A devoted husband, family man and committed patriarch he will be missed by family and friends. Survived by his wife of 53 years Georgia, his children Karen Tomaszewski, Susan Mershon, Darcy Thomas and Scott Romig and grandchildren Matt, Zachary, Noah, Nicholas, Sam, and Brett. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley where he spent his well cared for final days.
