Diana Rose Martinka, 60, of Phoenix, Arizona, was welcomed through the gates of heaven on June 24, 2021. Diana was born September 30, 1960, in Willowick, Ohio, to the late Joseph Anthony LaPorte Jr. and Rose Marie LaPorte.
Diana was a loving wife and mother to three boys. She understood the importance of making a house a home, fostering an environment that celebrated togetherness and individual achievement. She was a mother who ran a tight ship and harnessed the compassion, patience, forgiveness, and resiliency needed to raise boys.
For 40 years, Diana worked in the financial services industry at American Express. Joining AMEX in 1980, she climbed the corporate ranks as a loyal and dedicated leader, mentor, liaison, distinguished colleague, confidante, business partner, and friend.
Diana is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 33 years, Glen Martinka, and three children, Christopher Martinka (Christina), Bryan Martinka (Seana) and Nicholas Martinka, her sister Cheryl Gray (Michael), brothers Joseph LaPorte, Greg LaPorte (Carolyn), granddaughters Grace Martinka and Nora Martinka, nieces Ashley Gray Zlotnick (Stephen), Jennifer LaPorte, Abby LaPorte, and nephew Austin Gray (Chelsea).
Diana lived a life of humility and grace, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her husband and children were at her side at the time of her passing. Always on our minds and forever in our hearts, her legacy and spirit is eternal.
