of Sharon Coker and David J. Smith Sr. She was the eighth of nine children. She was honest,
genuine, funny, supportive, free-spirited, beautiful and a true lover of food. She began her
education in Greenfield, Sierra Vista, graduated from South Mountain High School in 2012 and
later attended Grand Canyon University.
Delores was an amazing daughter, little sister, a great aunt to her nieces and nephews all of
which carried over into her being the most loving mother we all knew her to be. She always
found ways to make her children feel loved and special whether it was taking them on road trips,
creating fun memories, making sure they bonded with their cousins, planning amazing birthday
parties and celebrations. Her children were her heartbeat.
Delores was always actively employed and her most recent employer was Lincoln Financial
Group. No matter where she worked, who she interacted with, there was a charm that everyone
loved about her. She was the life of the party with the biggest heart. Her natural quick-witty
responses kept everyone in her company laughing. Her laugh was distinct and filled the room
with an energy that goes unmatched. Her beautiful smile shined bright, giving us all warmth and
comfort even on the rainiest days. A true foodie at heart, Delores recently mastered her famous
tacos and shared her passion for food everywhere she went.
Delores Smith rejoined her heavenly family on December 19th, 2021.
She is preceded in death by her father David Smith Sr. and her nephew Elijah Smith-Ricks.
She leaves to honor Ilani Smith, Amari Lewis, Sharon Coker, Diandra Smith-Claytor, Tiesha
Harrison, David L. Smith Jr., Tomisha Harrison, Regina Smith, Edward D. Smith, David J. Smith
Jr. Roger Smith and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends that will miss and love her
deeply.
