The eldest of four siblings, Dayna was born to Robert and Doris Davis on January 4th, 1955 in Phoenix, Arizona.
Having the example of his beloved bricklayer father and beautician mother, Dayna learned the value of hard work at an early age. From his beginning as a hod carrier for Guy Apple Masonry in his early twenties, through the past 30 years as a health care construction superintendent for Guthrie General, Dayna has worked construction in the Valley of the Sun for nearly his entire adult life.
Dayna loved hunting, camping, fishing, telling stories, teasing, tickling, playing games, competing in almost anything, being ever the jokester, and serving his church family in various callings over the years.
Dayna is survived by his wife (Haziel Davis); 5 children (Chad Davis, Angie Grasteit, Zac Davis, Lynsie Jordan, and Ali Ngo); 2 step-children (John Guitierrez and Michael Lopez); 26 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and his 3 siblings (Deede O'Meara, Teri Davis, & Shawn Davis)
We love and miss Dayna already, but are comforted in our faith of a loving Father and Savior who have made family relationships a central part of Their eternal plan of happiness for us.
A funeral service for Dayna will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 8702 West Campbell Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85037. Following the funeral service, there will be a grave dedication at 12:15 P.M. at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary & Cemetery, 2300 West Van Buren, Phoenix, AZ 85009.
