David’s legacy lives through the lives of those whom his heart touched. He lived a life of great honor, kindness, and immeasurable compassion. It is a blessing to have known David and be able to call him a friend. My love and condolences to his wife, parents, siblings, and friends. 🤍

David “Christmas” Navidad was part of the Foot Locker Family . We watched him excel at everything he did. Our prayers go out to the family. 

Words will never sum up how grateful I was to know my brother had a true friend in David. As an older sister, my role was always the protector. But when one can’t protect them anymore, the only comfort we have left is knowing there are good friends near them. 

Although David may have just met me once or twice, I don’t think he understood how much I heard about him and how happy it made me knowing he and my brother had each other. 

There are a few things In life a man will be remembered by- being a good friend is one of them. My brother’s heart is broken and so is mine - the Delgado family will always be here for you and your family. A white candle will always be lit for you and a seat at the table will always be found - you are appreciated and loved! 

Picture of David with a few friends after benching 225lb for a total of 365 times at the end of 2015 as an end of the year celebration. It was followed by eggs and chocolate milk at TJs restaurant. I remember David asking the waitress to make sure the cook used the largest eggs for his meal so he can get as much protein in. David, you were a role model to many of us and will be greatly missed. Prayers for his family to help guide them in this difficult time.

David loved working out and always pushed everyone to do better. 

I will always remember David as one of the hardest workers you can meet. This man was dedicated to fitness, mentorship, being a good spouse, and his country. 

This is a funny memory that I have to share. 

On one occasion David, myself and his his wife Diana had gone to a Hispanic night club in downtown Austin. The plan was to meet up and have some drinks and dance the night away. Let me tell you… we did just that! When I had arrived, I immediately started to search the dance floor and I am not surprised at what I found. It was David holding a beer in his hand and with his other hand around his wife dancing to cumbia. If y’all got got to see David dance y’all know he’s the real deal, now you add some liquor to the mix you know he’s getting down. Fast forward a few drinks later and man we were dancing all night. 

My favorite moment of the whole night was towards the end of the night, David was all hyped at a song the DJ played. So he scoop up Diana with one arm and literally started dance with her in the air and he has a beer in his other hand and he’s spinning them both around and he’s laughing and bumping into other on the dance floor. Ahhh the moment was magic because it captures the true essence of David. Unapologetically happy, loving, and charismatic. David you will be missed everyday.
