David Francis Dowling was born in Utica, New York on 26 May 1968. He received his journeyman plumbing license in 1991 and worked as a plumber up until his sudden and tragic passing on 12 January 2014. Dave worked in every capacity of plumbing during his career. Dave unfortunately developed diabetes in 1995 and struggled daily with this horrible disease as it continually affected other parts of his body. Despite these challenges, Dave never gave up and would not except any disability or financial assistance from others even when he had difficulty finding employment due to his deteriorating medical condition. Dave was a lifelong collector of antique glass and porcelain electrical insulators and was even featured in multiple "Crown Jewels of the Wire" magazines with his prized collection. In his spare time, Dave enjoyed fishing for catfish, shooting both pistols and his AR 15 assault rifle, and driving his Toyota 4x4 in the Arizona desert looking at historic mines and ghost towns. Dave was the godfather to his three beautiful nieces Irelyn, Scarlett and Fallon who unfortunately will never know what an amazing man Dave was. He was the best friend of his younger and only brother Glen who is currently a promotable Captain in the US Army and stationed in Fort Belvoir VA. Dave was a amazing man who left this world way to soon and he will be truly missed every day. Dave is survived by his father David B. Dowling and brother Glen Dowling.
