Darlene Marie Utterback Williamson, 85, born May 4, 1931 in Ottumwa, Iowa, lived in Arizona for 71 years, and passed from this life into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in Phoenix, AZ on Friday, July 29, 2016. As a pastor's wife for over 30 years, she served her Lord, her family, and those in need. Darlene was a gifted seamstress and cook. She loved to prepare meals for her own family and for her church family. In our minds, Darlene was the best homemaker this world has ever known. Darlene especially had a heart of compassion for feeding the poor. For many years Darlene and her husband, Pastor Thermon Williamson, organized the church's food ministry and delivered thousands of pounds of food each year to churches, pastors, individuals, and food distribution centers all over Phoenix. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be sent to Mom's Pantry, c/o Dream City Church, 13613 N. Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85022
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Martha Utterback, and her only son, Pastor Ron Williamson. Survivors include Thermon her husband of 66 years, her 3 grandsons, Brett, Brian and Brad Williamson, daughter-in-law Elwanda (Ellie) Williamson, and 6 great-grandchildren, Faith, Drew, Rilynn, Luke, Caleb, and Evan Williamson.
