Christopher Charles Garrett

Chris said many times that the best part of his life were the years he spent taking care of his mom, Mary. For many of those years they spent half of their time in Phoenix, to be near his late brother Leo and sister-in-law, Lorraine. The other half of the year was spent in Michigan to be close to sisters Kathy Garrett (Chuck Guidot), Nancy Houlihan (John) and Martha Theisen (Tom).

He was an uncle to Gracie, Spencer, Lauren (“Tex”), Colleen, Michael, Patrick, Mark, Joe, Jake and Mary Kate. He was a great uncle to Claire, Carson, Simon, Gerard, Ada, and Logan.

He was an active member of his church, Mater Misericordiae Catholic Church. He had a love for the Latin mass, devotion to the Blessed Mother and participated in saying the rosary daily. He leaves behind many church friends including Connie, Don, Ted, Juan, Herlinda, Cecily, and Glenn.

He will be remembered as an uncle who always had candy in his pockets, a devout Catholic, connoisseur of spicy foods, avid reader, fiery conversationalist with a booming whisper, fan of Ted Lasso and love for his family and friends. He will be missed. He has been greeted by his dad, mom and brother with open arms!
