Chester (Pete) Arthur Russell, of Phoenix, went to be with Jesus on Jan. 21, 2018. He was born in Pond River Bottom, KY on Sept. 1, 1921. He married Dorothy Conner on Aug. 29, 1942. Chet was a WWII Veteran. His careers were in Contracting and Accounting. He was a member of CBMC and active at Bethany Bible Church. His passion was his family. He would boast that family member #110 was due soon. He was proceeded in death by his daughter, Debbie Russell and granddaughters, Shelly Hitchcock and Rachel Hitchcock Massey. Chet was survived by his bride of 75 years Dorothy Russell, son, Maurice Russell (Nancy), daughters, Sandy Hitchcock (Floyd), Candy Winklepleck (Larry), Becky Moore (Kevin), Kristina Egley (Jeff), his “congregation” of grand, great-grand, and great-great-grandchildren and brother Lee Roy Russell. He was a loving and faithful husband, father, grandfather and friend. Funeral arrangements will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 26th at Bethany Bible Church, 6060 N. 7th Ave, Phoenix, followed by a reception.
