After leaving Lake Providence, Charlie held jobs with United Airlines and the Union Pacific Railroad.
In 1950, Charlie moved to San Francisco, California. There he met his future wife, Irene B. Hardy. Charlie and Irene were married on October 10, 1953.
In 1957 Charlie moved to Phoenix, Arizona where he worked for Blakely Oil and Arizona Garbage Service. In 1966 Charlie started his own business, 'C.W. Ross Trash and Garbage Service,' which he successfully owned and operated for over 40 years.
Raised in the Church and in the Bible, in 1965 Charlie accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and spent a lifetime of service to the Lord. He came to pastor the Church of All Nations alongside Reverend Eugene Johnson, Pastor Raymond Woods, and Sister Carol Blackmountain. Charlie always had a smile on his face, a twinkle in his eyes, and Jesus on his mind.
Charlie went home to be with the Lord on May 25, 2020 He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Irene, his 10 sisters and 4 brothers, his sons Craig and Charles Kim, and his daughter Rhonda.
He leaves to cherish his memories his children; Brenda Owens, Darrell Ross, Derrick Ross, Terrance Ross, Stepfonn Ross, Ronald Ross, Michael Ross, and Sherlyn Ross; his daughter-in-law Keely Ross (Stepfonn), his son-in-law Havey Lee Owens (Brenda), and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his Church family.
