Cecilia S. Salazar

Cecilia Salazar was born on February 11, 1934 and passed away on January 10, 2018 at the age of 83. Cecilia was the daughter of Helen Salas and Alfredo Fimbres Bank. She lived her entire life in Phoenix, married and had four fine sons.

Cecilia is survived by her beloved and devoted husband, Roman S. Salazar Sr., married nearly seventy years and the love of her life.

Cecilia is survived by three of her four sons, Ruben Salazar, Steven Salazar and Roman L. Salazar. Her son David Salazar predeceased her. Cecilia is also survived by her grandchildren Sonya Monique Hernandez, Enoch Josiah Hernandez, Elijah J. Hernandez, Nicole Salazar, Alex Salazar, Brendan Gargano and Tianna Brittnay Herrera.

Cecilia worked as an administrative assistant, but her true calling was decades of volunteer work at Casa Primavera, The Salvation Army and countless food banks.

Cecilia was beloved for her generous heart, kindness, loving smile and laughter, as well as her amazing cakes.

She was loved and cherished by all and will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018 at Greenwood Memory Lawn, 2900 W. Van Buren, Phoenix, 85009.

Chapel services begin at 10:30 am followed by burial services for cremation at 12:30 pm.

Family and friends are invited for a 3:00 pm reception at the Salazar home.
