Kim,

I was so sorry to hear of Carl's death.  You probably don't know me, my name is Jane Ryan.  Carl and my brother, Joe were good friends in HIgh School.  Joe died five years ago this month very suddenly. Carl was a wonderful person when I knew him and he and Joe were always good for a laugh! He will be remembered in the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure to know him forever.

Kim, Callan and Sarah, words cant describe how sad this makes me. Carl was such a big part of my life. Everytime my dad (Tim Kelly) was on the phone I swear it was with Carl. The last time I spoke with him he was hanging out with my dad and I was in the hospital after having my last child. He had a way of making me feel like everything was going to be ok. He always gave me and my brother a hard time growing up, and I loved him for that. He made such a difference in so many peoples lives. He was truly a great man, and will be missed.

Kim, Callan and Sara I am sorry for your loss.  Carl was my friend, coworker and captain for over 20 years.  He will be missed but never forgotten.

To the Hayden family.  Even though I have never met you, I want to thank you for making my son Matthew a part of your family, especially for taking him with you on your Pinetop trips. Kim, Callan, Sarah. My deepest sympathies. I recently heard the news from my sister (your neighbor and Kifa's mom). My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.  Carl was a good man with a wonderful sense of humor and compassion for those he served and worked with.

Dearest Kim and family, It was my great honor not only to have known Carl but to have been his partner on Southwest Ambulance.  I was just 20 years old when I met him and his sense of humor and guidance meant the world to me.  He was a true original and I am blessed to have met him and to be his friend for all of these years.  My prayers are with you and the kids. God Bless.

I was so very sorry to note Carl's Obituary in yesterday's newspaper.  We worked (I was a volunteer for the Community Assistance Program) with Carl at the Sun Lakes Fire Department and we went on many calls together throughout the years.  Carl had such a good humor and was so well thought of at the fire station and in our community.

My condolences go out to the entire family and my thoughts will certainly be at the service with you.  I am not able to attend tomorrow but prayers have and will go out to you, Carl, and your family.

I can not convey how sorry I am for your loss.  I knew and worked with Carl for over 25 years. I found his humor and his passion for his family, his work, and for life in general to be enviable.  In ways I could not begin to explain, Carl saved my sanity and my life.  Carl made a positive difference in so many peoples lives both at work and in his personal life.  Carl gave me inspiration, strength, and taught me to not be so serious all of the time.  I thank you and your family for sharing Carl with us, and please know that Carl's legacy will go on in all of the people whose lives he has touched. Again, thank you for sharing Carl with us, and may God bless and keep your family through these difficult hours.

Kim, Sarah and Callen, Sallie and Katherine, - My condolences.  Carl and I had some great snow skiing adventures and fishing at Reservation lake with RJ and Phil. Carl was always interested in learning about International countries and their culture that I lived in and traveled to and especially my homeland Canada. 

Always precious memories we treasure of the days when Carl was here, no passing of time can take them away. No longer in our lives to share, but in our hearts, Carl will always be there.

I was lucky enough to work with Carl in Scottsdale and then went through the Phoenix fire academy with him. I loved his sense of humor and we often shared an inside joke. I am so sorry for your loss he will be missed greatly.

Sallie and Family.  My deepest sympathies and condolences on the loss of Litos.  I am teaching full time again and because of the Friday morning time will not be able to attend.  Preparing my students for AP exams and Finals. Marylin and  I would love to take you and your family to lunch/dinner Saturday or sometime before you leave.  Realize this is a time for grieving and family so will understand regardless.  Have been telling my classes about our Encanto Park Student Council Picnic and the "Look at them ducks" incident. Carl, I personally did not know you, but I wish that I had. I knew of you through my dear friend, your friend, Byron Bogenhagen, who always seemed to have a sound of honor in his voice when he spoke about you. Byron always had to let us know that you were his Captain on the FD. He was proud of that. I am from Phoenix, and I am familiar with the Hayden family.  My father, who is now 88 years old, actually worked at the Hayden Flour Mill, many, many years ago. I want the family members and friends to know that I am very sorry to hear about your loss, and I will say many prayers for our Lord to be with all of you during this time of sorrow.
