Bonnie was born in Omaha, Nebraska on July 5th, 1944. She was raised by Chuck and Lavonia Davis in Kingman, Arizona. After marrying, she lived in Washington, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware and California before returning to Arizona where she lived the remainder of her life. She entered Heaven’s gates on November 7, 2017.
Bonnie had an unwavering faith in God and happily served for many years as Church Secretary at Ogletown Baptist Church of Ogletown, Delaware and Trinity Baptist Church of Vacaville, California. She enjoyed sewing and quilting, singing and cooking and reading history books.
Bonnie was diagnosed with early onset Parkinson's Disease before the age of 40 and fought this disease for a large portion of her life with tremendous grace and courage. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the nurses and staff of Immanuel Campus of Care for their steadfast attention and care provided to Bonnie and to the ladies fellowship group of the Apollo Baptist Church for their encouragement and friendship.
Bonnie is survived by her three children, Robert of San Diego, California; Becky (James) of Springfield, Virginia and Stephen (Eileen) of McLean, Virginia and her three grandchildren, Walter, Perrin and Stephanie. She is also survived by her younger brother Mike and children (Michael and Jason) and her sister-in-law Laura and children (Julie, Robert, David, Jenny, Sara, Steve, Amanda) and Laura’s grandchildren. She was predeceased by her older brother Jimmy and her twin younger brothers Ronnie and Donnie.
A graveside funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary, 719 North 27th Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, kindly provide donations to a Parkinson's foundation of your choosing.
