Barbara Faye Miller

Barbara Faye Miller was born Barbara Faye Johnson on April 6, 1946 in Birmingham, Alabama. As a child, she was a tomboy - climbing trees and onto the top of the house.

We as a family called her “Faye”.  Her hobbies were all about her boys – Stan, Doug and grandson DJ.  She devoted her life to them.  Family get-togethers were important.  We all enjoyed gathering and we have good memories to look back on. 

One of Sandy’s memories is of an unforgettable road trip: She and I drove to Phoenix to pick up my sister Brenda. We were going to drive to Ohio to see my dad when he was sick. We drove 36 hours straight.  Even through bad weather, we joked, teased each other and laughed.  When we got there, we just looked at each other.  But when we left Ohio, the joking started all over again.  No matter what life threw at us, sometimes getting some laughter in there helps us get through it all.

Let’s not forget her beloved dog, Princess!

Faye passed away on March 19, 2023. She was preceded in death by her sisters Nancy, Brenda and Linda Johnson and her brother Joey Johnson.

She is survived by her sister Sandy, brothers Clyde, Paul and James; sons Stan and Doug and grandson DJ.

She will always be in our hearts.
