She was born in Chicago, IL on March 30, 1935, as Audrey Edna Williams and was married on January 12, 1953, to Nathaniel Grant. Audrey was a housewife who enjoyed spending time with her spiritual family at her congregations. As a pioneer she was available, and a source of encouragement for others with eternal hope.
She loved to cook and was quite a good cook/baker as she really loved making cakes and cookies, and she made a mean peach cobbler. Audrey also loved to garden. She grew a large variety of vegetables in her garden, and with her fruit trees had an abundance to can, share, and just use at home. Quilting was always high on Audrey’s list she created quilts for loved family and friends which gave her great pleasure.
Audrey loved her family and is survived by her husband of seventy years Nathaniel. Her children Nathaniel, Sharon, and Derrick. Her grandchildren and her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her children Charles, Deborah, and Vincent. She was also
preceded in death by her sisters Alice, Velma, and Thelma, and her brother Fletcher Jr.
Audrey was enchanted with the Land of Enchantment.
We shall miss her.
